Construction of OCM Roller ChainsRoller chain is made of roller links and roller pinsRoller link consists of two bushing press-fitted into roller link plate with two free rotating over the bushings. Pin links consists of twopins links plate into which two pins are press-fitted.
There are two types of pins: Rivet (Spring Clips) and Cotter types
1) Rivet (Spring Clips) This is standard for all single and multiple strand ANSI standard chain 80 and below and British standard chain 16B and below.
2) Cotter Types This is standard for all single and multiple strand ANSI standard chain 100 and above and British standard chain 20B and above
3) Offset Links This is a combination of roller link and pin links. This link is used when the chain length is odd number of pitches. It is recommended not to be use offset links whenever possible. 4) Two Pitches Offset Links The unit consists of one offset link and one roller links Pins are press-fitted into the link plate and the unit is is more suitable for heavy impact load and high-speed driving than one pitch offset links
1) OCM Stainless Roller SUS Series This chain is made of 304 (austenitic) stainless steel. This chain has excellent corrosive resistance very low magnetic. This chain is good for acid, alkali, water, etc. Heat resistance.
2) OCM Stainless Roller SAC Series This chain is made of 316 (austenitic) stainless steel. This chain is better in corrosive resistance than SUS Series non-magnetic. Spring clips and cotter used are made of of 304 stainless steels. Heat resistance.
3) OCM Stainless Roller SPH Series The pin, bush and roller of this chain are made of 600 Series precipitation hardened stainless steel with link plate of 304 stainless steels Spring clips and cotter used are made of 304 stainless steels.
Construction of OCM Conveyors ChainsThere are many types of chains for conveyors applications but steelchain for conveyors are popular widely used. OCM FM and FE chains for conveyors superior to other type in strength wear-resistance and the characteristic that change in material andattachments are readily made according to an application.
