Backend Engineer (MongoDB)
We are looking for a talented Backend Engineer with proficiency in Typescript. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining our backend systems, implementing APIs, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of our code. You will collaborate with mobile engineers and work closely with the rest of the team to enhance our product features.
Our ideal candidate has a strong background in backend development, excels at building scalable and maintainable code, and is experienced in working with APIs and NoSQL databases. If you're passionate about building highly performant and secure backend systems, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain backend systems using Typescript• Implement and work with APIs to support frontend and mobile applications• Create highly scalable and maintainable code• Utilize database experience and apply best practices for performance and reliability• Collaborate effectively with mobile engineers to ensure seamless integration of frontend and backend functionality• Utilize AWS services to deploy and manage backend infrastructure• Implement and utilize testing frameworks to ensure code quality and reliability• Follow CI/CD best practices for efficient and streamlined development and deployment processes• Conduct code reviews for other engineers to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices• Apply security best practices and maintain a security mindset throughout the development process• Implement performance and reliability best practices to ensure optimal system performance
Skills
• Proficiency in Typescript• Experience with implementing and working with APIs• Ability to create highly scalable and maintainable code• Strong database experience (MongoDB), with knowledge of performance and reliability best practices• Experience collaborating with mobile engineers for seamless integration of frontend and backend functionality• Familiarity with AWS services and their usage in backend development• Experience with testing frameworks to ensure code quality and reliability• Knowledge of CI/CD best practices for efficient development and deployment processes• Ability to conduct code reviews for other engineers to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices• Strong understanding of security best practices and a security mindset• Familiarity with performance and reliability best practices for optimal system performance
Work expectations
• Hybrid (Bangkok, Thailand)• 40 hours per week• Github normal PR flow / Notion for project tracking
