Construction of OCM Roll ChainsRoller chain is made of roller links and pin linksRoller links consists of two bushings press-fitted into roller linkplate with two free rotating roller over the bushings. Pin linksconsists of two pin links plates which two pins are press-fitted.
There are two types of pins: Rivet (Spring Clips) and Cotter Types
1) Rivet (Spring Clips) This is standard for all single and multiple strand ANSI standard chain 80 and below and British standard chain 16B and below2) Cotter Type This is standard for all single and multiple strand ANSI standard chain 100 and above and British standard chain 20 B and above3) Offset Link. This is a combination of roller link and pin links This link is used when the chain length is odd number of pitch It is recommended not to be used one offset link whenever possible.4) Two Pitches Offset Link. The unit consists of one offset link and one roller link. Pins are press-fitted into the link plates and the unit is more suitable for heavy impact load and high-speed driving than one pitch offset link
1) OCM Stainless Roller Chain SUS Series This chain is made of 304 (austenitic) stainless steel. This chain has excellent corrosive resistance non-magnetic. This chain is good for acid, alkali, water, etc.
2) OCM Stainless Roller Chain SAC Series This chain is made of 316 (austenitic) stainless steel This is better in corrosive resistance than SUS Series. Spring clips and cotter used are made of 304 stainless steel. Heat resistance.
3) OCM Stainless Roller Chain SPH Series The pin, bush and roller of this chain are made of 600 Series precipitation hardened stainless steel with link plate of 304 stainless steel. Magnetic, Better wear-resistance. The working load of this chain is 1.5 times SUS Series
